The Ottobon Collective was officially founded in the spring of 2010, but it truly began in 2005 when the group of artists met in the College of Fine Arts at Boston University. While we have been separated by location for some time over the years discovering other places and things, our enthusiasm to explore and fervent dedication to art-making has not changed. This mentality harks back to countless nights in Boston spent participating in raucous discussions of art, life, + all things silly, beautiful, and serious. We've joined together to support each other artistically, to help each other out, and to continue what we started back in 2005. Currently, the collective is headquartered in Philadelphia, and members include: Anna Smedley, Olivia Webb, and Sarah Pater.
Anna shares the adventures and dream worlds of a very close friend (so close one might even say they are one in the same) named Ettie Ogle.
Olivia Annick Webb makes grotesque works of all kinds that tend to offend everyone, including herself. Sarah builds herself quiet kinds of places to be, and she wants you to be there, too.
